Reintroduction of Mutual Obligations for our Disability Employment Service and ParentsNext Programs
The Government recently announced the reintroduction of Mutual Obligations for customers and participants in the Disability Employment Service (DES) and ParentsNext programs commencing Monday, 28th September 2020.
Customers will be provided the opportunity to ‘Opt In’ or ‘Opt Out’ of the option to have face-to-face appointments with their CHESS Connect Representative.
This will mean greater engagement with our customers and staff and with the expectation of an increase in face-to-face contacts across our programs, CHESS Connect offices will again be opened to the public.
In preparation, many of our CHESS Connect team members have already been in contact with customers regarding appointment options and arrangements.
Reopening of CHESS Connect Offices
In preparation for mutual obligations resuming on Monday, 28th September 2020 our DES and ParentsNext teams will be returning to CHESS Connect sites in order to satisfy any requests for face-to-face services by our customers.
CHESS Connect have worked closely with our staff to ensure COVID Safe Plans for all of our CHESS Connect sites are up to date, as well as ensuring that we have adequate stock levels of PPE and face masks.
These measures have been put in place to ensure the safety of our staff and the community and a safe return to our work sites.
Visitor Health Screen
A Visitor Health Screen has been implemented across all of our sites, to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our community and reduce the risk of exposure to our staff and visitors. We ask that this Visitor Health Screen be completed at the commencement of every appointment.
The Visitor Health Screen asks standard questions regarding your wellbeing and travel history.
Your participation is important to help us take precautionary measures to protect yourself and members of the CHESS Connect team.
Use of Face Masks
We are no longer asking staff to wear a face-mask to provide a face-to-face service, however staff providing face-to-face services have access to face-masks in the event that they are requested to wear one by a customer or cannot maintain physical distance with a customer.
Face masks are also available to customers upon request.
We are doing everything necessary to ensure the safe conduct of our customers and staff as we reopen our offices to the public.
